After my final year of University, I decided to take on my first full-time employment role, after being offered a position as Digital Merchaniser for an an American company: Brady Corporation


ABOUT BRADY:

Brady Corporation is an international manufacturer and marketer of workplace health and safety solutions; they identify potential problems and protect people, products and places. Their company focuses’ on solid, long-term performance for their customers and shareholders. They are currently on the New York Stock Exchange and own many subsidiary brands including Safetyshop, Seton and Emedco.


MY ROLE AT BRADY: 

I joined Brady Corporation in March 2022, where I was employed as a Digital Merchandiser, working alongside 4 other UK-based Digital Merchandisers (for Brady). In the early stages of my career at Brady, I was trained by Henri Ghekiere on STEP - a site builder software, and by (SEO Manager) Chris Evans on Keywordtool.io, Rankello and overall SEO-Focused Training.
As a Digital Merchaniser, I have been made responsible for building and merchandising digital content for Brady’s owned sites. My daily workload includes copywriting, SEO-focused tasks (e.g. keyword optim., content creation or on-page optim.), activating new products and general site maintenence (e.g. discontinuing obsulete products, ensuring there are no links to 301 or 404 pages).

At the end of May, I was presented with a new project of building and developing Brady’s North America sites - Seton US, Seton Canada and Emedco. Presenting me with new tasks and opportunities to grow, both personally and within the business.
